Terms of sale

These terms govern every purchase made on the website and in the shop of Shadow Rappelz, an independent community private server for the game Rappelz. By completing a purchase, the player confirms having read and accepted them.
1. Virtual currencies
Shadow Rappelz uses two virtual currencies:
- Vote Points, obtained for free by voting for the server;
- Shadow Coins, obtained for free in-game or bought with real money.
These currencies may only be spent on the Shadow Rappelz server. They have no real monetary value, cannot be converted back into money, cannot be sold, transferred between accounts, and do not constitute a deposit.
2. Buying Shadow Coins (real money)
Buying Shadow Coins is a purchase of digital content. Payment is handled by our provider Stripe; no card data is shared with or stored by Shadow Rappelz. Shadow Coins are credited to the account automatically once payment is confirmed.
3. Buying shop items
Shop items are bought by spending Vote Points or Shadow Coins. The amount is debited from the player's balance, then the item is dropped into their in-game cash inventory, claimable on any character of the account.
4. Right of withdrawal and no refunds
Purchases concern digital content supplied immediately. By completing the purchase, the player expressly requests immediate performance and waives the 14-day right of withdrawal once performance has begun.
All purchases are final.
Vote Points and Shadow Coins that have been credited, then consumed and used for the game (spent to acquire an item delivered in-game), are not taken back, exchanged or refunded, in whole or in part.
Sole exception: if the delivery of an item fails for a technical reason, the debited points are automatically and fully credited back, and the purchase is marked as refunded. No other refund is granted, in particular for mishandling, change of mind, wrong quantity, account ban for breaching the rules, or server shutdown.
5. Prices and availability
Prices are shown in Vote Points, Shadow Coins or euros as applicable. Shadow Rappelz may change the catalogue, prices and rewards at any time. Changes do not apply retroactively to purchases already made.
6. Nature of the service and liability
Shadow Rappelz is a non-profit community project. Purchases are a way to support the server and grant purely virtual advantages, with no guarantee of permanent availability. The service is provided "as is". Rappelz is a trademark of its rightful owners; Shadow Rappelz is not affiliated with the official publisher.
